“Noctambules” a social
success
More than 100 people came to visit Open Door's
first-ever vide-grenier at the Salle Polyvalente, St.
Pardoux-Morterolles, on
Friday 13th July and they were lucky enough to be treated to warm
sunshine as they browsed the thirteen stalls and sampled the snacks and
drinks
on sale.
The event was a real experiment for the
Association – the day before Bastille Day, timed for people
who wanted something
interesting but not too exhausting, everything priced at less than
10€ - but,
in general, voted a success by those who attended.
Sales from the stalls weren't high but all the
stalls were free, so any sales were a profit and all the stallholders
were
'amateurs'. The Association profited from the sale of refreshments
– hot dogs
and homemade pizza, popcorn and icepops – and beer, wine and
soft drinks from
the bar.
The main benefit, though, was the excellent
atmosphere which pervaded the whole event. Visitors and exhibitors came
from
the commune, adjoining communes, as far afield as Aubusson and Brittany
– even
a group of passing cyclists! Old friends were re-discovered and new
friends
made!
"Next year will be different – for
example, the 13th will be Saturday which will mean that we have to
look at the event from another angle,' said the President, " but we
have a
good experience on which to base an even more interesting and exciting
community event – and we have a great team that can plan,
organise and carry
out major events like this.
"This was an all-round community event and
we must thank the Commune employees – Martine, Henri and
Yannick – for their
help in making it such a success!"

Ce vendredi 13 juillet plus de 100
personnes se sont
déplacées pour le 1er vide grenier de
l’association Open Door à la
salle polyvalente de St Pardoux Morterolles. C’est avec
beaucoup de plaisir que
les visiteurs se sont baladés parmi les 13 stands et ont
fait honneur à la
buvette et la petite restauration.
C’était
un pari pour
l’association d’organiser une manifestation la
veille du 14 juillet (et un
vendredi..) et de proposer une soirée agréable et
sereine. Merci à Joelle de
nous avoir entrainé dans cette aventure…..
Peu de ventes et de profits sur les
stands (prix maxi 10
euros..) mais ceux-ci étaient gratuits et les exposants
amateurs.
L’association a eu quelques
rentrées d’argent grace au bar
et aux hot dog, pizza maison, pop corn et autres ice pop ;mais
le plus
grand bénéfice pour tous était la
bonne ambiance. Habitants et exposants de la
commune, des communes environnantes ou d’ailleurs et meme un
groupe de
cyclistes…de vieux amis qui sont contents de se retrouver,de
nouvelles amitiés
qui se creent.
Le mot du
président :l’année prochaine
une autre
approche sera possible,le 13 juillet tombant un samedi .Cette
année nous a
permis d’acquérir un savoir faire et de constituer
une équipe. C’était une
première dont nous allons tirer les enseignements. Merci aux
