The meeting was held in the Salle Polyvalente of the
Mairie at St. Pardoux Morterolles. Peter opened the meeting
at 10.20.
Peter presented the President's report (attached) in
which he listed the activities of the Association during
2018. Most of these were successful in terms of
participation, with the best attended and most lucrative being the
Burns night. The Association has several activities lined up
for 2019, starting with Burns night on 25th January. It is
fully booked. It has been a good year for recruiting new,
active members, and Peter would like to see this continued in
2019.
On 2nd February the Association will assist the Mairie
at St. Pardoux Morterolles in holding a concert of Occitan Polyphonic
music. It will be held in the Salle des Fetes at 20.30.
Details to be published separately.
Dany presented the Treasurer's report, which showed
that the Association has a healthy bank balance of 719 Euros. The
membership fees are due: 12 Euros per person, or 20 Euros for
a family. Her report is attached.
Peter announced that three committee members have
resigned: Doug Craig, Hilary Seeley and Carol Bartnik. He
asked if there were any volunteers to take their place. There
were none, but the committee may coopt members later in the year.
The other committee members remain unchanged.
Under Any Other Business, it was suggested that events
be publicised with more flyers, and with signposts.
Last year's afternoon tea suffered from a clash with
other activities on the same day: a better date will be
selected.
Sylvie suggested we have a stand at the Franco Brit
brocante on March 9th, to publicise our activities and our library, and
to recruit new members.

La plupart d'entre elles ont été un
succès en
termes de participation, le plus fréquenté et le
plus
lucratif étant la nuit Burns. L'association a plusieurs
activités en vue pour 2019, à commencer par la
nuit Burns
le 25 janvier. C'est complet. Ce fut une bonne année pour
recruter de nouveaux membres actifs et Peter aimerait que cela se
poursuive en 2019.
Le 2 février, l’association assistera la mairie de
Saint-Pardoux-Morterolles dans l’organisation d’un
concert
de musique polyphonique occitane. Il aura lieu à la salle
des
fêtes à 20h30. Détails à

de dépliants et de panneaux de signalisation.
Le Afternoon Tea de l’année dernière
avait souffert
d’un conflit avec d’autres activités le
même
jour: une meilleure date serait choisie.
Sylvie a suggéré que nous tenions un stand au
brocante
franco-britannique le 9 mars pour faire connaître nos
activités et notre bibliothèque et recruter de
nouveaux
membres.
